Tom is an entrepreneur with 22 years as the CEO and owner of Sanford Rose Associates – The Zike Group specializing in Senior Living Industry. Prior to this he was the CEO and owner of Zike’s Fitness & Aerobic Company Inc. In Indianapolis, IN. A few of Tom’s accomplishments are:

  • The Zike Group is one of the ‘Top Producing” Senior living franchises in the country winning the Gold and Silver Awards 8 years in a row.
  • Tom grew his fitness center from 300 members to over 5,000 members and was voted by the “Indianapolis Magazine” as the “Best Place to workout in Indy”. His Fitness Center was also selected as the place for celebrities to workout while in Indianapolis including superstars such as Bruce Springstein, Dolph Lundgren and Indy Race Drivers.

Tom’s first-hand experience of growing two businesses gives his firm an edge over other search firms without this entrepreneurial experience. This experience has helped his firm build C-Level and VP teams as well as facility management teams for some of the fastest growing Senior Living companies across the United States.

Tom has an MPH degree from Indiana University and before entering the business world he was a teacher and a coach. He has been married for over 30 years and has 2 sons. Besides spending time with his family, he enjoys working out and his wife’s gourmet cooking.

Chasen Zike

VP of Talent Acquisitions

Prior to joining The Zike Group in 2016, Chasen worked with one of the largest Temporary & Permanent Medical Staffing Services in the United States. After joining The Zike Group in 2016 as a Senior Research Consultant, Chasen has supported his Executive Search team, working on hundreds of Searches in the Senior Living Industry ranging from Chief Executive Officer to facility level positions.

Through his innovative research techniques, Chasen is able to identify and attract the top 5% of the candidate pool and present them to his partners.

He understands the urgency of his clients and has developed tools to accelerate the speed of the research process by 50% allowing him to present “top performers” in half the time.

Because his focus is on uncovering and presenting candidates that are performing at a high level, our clients have experienced an 80% plus retention rate for candidates placed.

When Chasen is not conducting research, he is out on the road with his wife, Megan, and dogs, Bonnie & Nimrod, hitting the mountain bike trails, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors together.

Bruce Hermans, MFA, Med

Bruce was invited to partner his work with Sanford Rose Associates – The Zike Group because of his prior success as the President and CEO of one the top producing IT Search Firms in the software space.

Before these endeavors, Bruce had a 15 year career in education as both a Principal and teacher. His love for kids, and desire to have an impart on their needed skills and character development allowed him to positively influence many young hearts and minds.

Since joining The Zike Group, Bruce has had a significant impact on the growth and profitability of both Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Companies throughout the US. Here are a few examples:

Upgraded the Executive Director positions for one of the largest Assisted living/Memory Care providers in Florida, increasing the overall company occupancy and NOI.

Placed a Senior VP of Operations candidate with a Senior Living Company in the Southeast who needed a strong operator who could grow into the COO position so one of the principals could move into a more strategic role. This candidate was promoted to the COO role within an 8 month period

Bruce also serves as the CIO for the partnership and has implemented the latest software and technology that has reduced the time to fill for our client’s critical openings.

Bruce has been married for 37 years and has two children. His hobbies include Golf, long distance running and seeing theatre with his wife.

Richard Ng

Director of Marketing

Richard Ng serves as Director of Marketing at The Zike Group, where he works closely with firm leadership to oversee and execute the company’s overall marketing strategy. In this role, he partners directly with Tom Zike to support brand positioning, marketing initiatives, and the continued evolution of the firm’s digital presence.
 
In addition to leading marketing efforts, Richard supports executive search operations by conducting research for active job orders, helping ensure alignment between client needs, market data, and outreach strategy. His work plays a key role in strengthening the firm’s visibility, consistency, and effectiveness across digital channels.
 
Richard is known for his critical thinking, creativity, and strong sense of integrity. He brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to both strategic planning and execution, with a focus on continuous improvement and long-term impact.
 
Outside of work, Richard enjoys basketball, video games, and keeping up with movies and TV series.

Erika Ng

Executive Assistant

Erika Ng serves as Executive Assistant at The Zike Group, where she provides direct administrative support to the firm’s CEO and leadership team. In this role, she plays a key part in ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly while supporting multiple areas of the business.

Beyond executive support, Erika assists with job order research and contributes to the firm’s marketing initiatives by helping design, edit, and prepare outreach marketing materials. She works closely with both Tom Zike and Richard Ng to develop and execute marketing campaigns that strengthen the firm’s brand presence and communication with clients and candidates.

Erika holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing Management. She is recognized for her creativity, strong work ethic, and dependable, hands-on approach—qualities that allow her to balance administrative precision with creative marketing support.

Outside of work, Erika enjoys movies and TV series, fashion, and staying engaged with social media trends.
